The Council

The Parish Council comprises of eight councillors who serve a four year term. Regular meetings are held throughout the year, together with an Annual Meeting at which the Chairman and Vice Chairman are elected.

The Parish Council makes decisions on issues that affect the local community, such as planning matters and campaigning for and delivering better services and facilities. The council also has the power to raise money through taxation, the precept.

The dates of meetings for the coming year are shown on the Agendas & Minutes. Agendas are posted on the noticeboards and on the website at least three days before each meeting together with details of the venue.

The public are invited and are encouraged to attend meetings. You will be most welcome!

This website is designed to complement the work of the Council, to help you to be better informed and to show you links to activities and events in the wider community.

Our villages are dynamic; they continue to change and develop. As they do the Parish Council will strive to make both communities even better places for residents, businesses and visitors, today and for the generations that follow.
